  1. He does match the capsules, yeah. He also does a battery box without the bass roll off, it costs £19.99. The switchable one is £34.99. The switch is on the outside. It is a very well put together box, about 20mm x 10mm x 10mm so also very small. I would just buy the mics and build your own box, if you don't want the switchable function. I did it and it cost me £8. G.
  2. I have tested them a bit, just recording from home, and they seem good. The capsules used are Panasonic WM-61s. I am having problems with the switchable battery box though, when I turn the bass roll off on, it cuts the signal level so low you can hardly hear the resultant recording. With it switched off, it works well. I am waiting to get my Dad's old minidisc recorder, as my MZ-N1 is crap and always has been with any sort of mic/line in device. When I get his, I will update. I would be tempted to get the mics and build a batt box, as that would work out a lot cheaper G.
  3. I had a crack at building a battery box today, the end result being: Not the smallest, but it will do. Thanks a lot for such a great guide G.
  4. I got them today, have tried a few things at home, trying to record from my hi fi up loud. Won't be at a show for a while. Will a test through my hi fi be ok? To be honest, I would like some feedback too G.
  5. I have ordered them, plus the switchable battery box, just waiting on them to arrive. All in it cost £60 delivered. I know I could have made them myself but I am too lazy . G.
