  1. I can confirm that this update program wont work with any other player. Tells me to plug in the player, when mine is. This is expected. Also sent sony an email, just got the run around, so no word yet about the other players. I wonder why just the a816, whats special about that player?
  2. Looks like this is only listed under the NWZ-816 players. I wonder if this will still work for the 818, but since its not listed under it, I'll wait a bit longer for someone braver. Though kinda weird that under the requriements it says the NWZ-816 player should be at ver 2.00 and used with the Best Buy® Digital Music Service.
  3. I'm not sure, but just know that the art will add to the size of the file. I've pulled my album art off of amazon most of the time without thinking twice. Though it has to be in a format that the player supports, so no png images, go with jpeg. Yes it needs to be in every song Yes, anytime the player disconnects from a computer it checks itself. As far as I know, no. I've never used mine for that long, so I dont know.
  4. Sony has moved away from using SonicStage, here in the US at least when they released the NWZ-A810 and S610 series. They support drag and drop(which is where the problem occurs) and Windows Media Player or Winamp, though I find Winamp5 to be a bit wonky when dealing with the player
  5. I can confirm this behavior as well. All the mp3s that I dragged onto my NWZ-A818 lost their year info. When I used Windows Media Player, I now have the year info. Wouldn't mind this too much but WMP doesn't handle my aac files. I hope they release that Media Manager for WALKMAN soon.
