There was an episode of CSI where Nick Stokes used an MD player with a speaker in it (I think it was this one: MZ-B10) to play back some recorded telephone conversation. I'll see if I can get a screenshot of it.

I just need the episode name laugh.gif

Death Note Episode 27, Near brought MDs of Kira's investigations for the president of the US.

I was half expecting the US president to say "WTF are these?" biggrin.gif

Spotted these in an old Chinese film called 'Armour of God II' starring Jackie Chan (also called 'Operation Condor'). They look like floppies but are certainly smaller. I've never seen an MD with a red disc spindle though .. must be one of Sony's I suppose.

There's a scene in "Transformers" when one of the "section" guys shows NASA footage of the Mars probe being tossed around. The angles are too tight though but it did seem he stuck an MD into a Macbook, from a slot that popped up from the suitcase..

Can someone post some pictures of this Sony MD DATA BOOK? I have seen almost all the MD-DATA devices, but no Sony MD DATA BOOK....

BTW: My favorite post ever on the MD comm page: http://www.minidisc.org/mz-r110pda.htm

Thanks
F.

You have 2 Sony MD DATA BOOK w/keyboard ?

Also, if Sony would have come out with that April Fools item, I would have clawed my way into the electronics store and bought a handful.

F.

Just saw White Noise with Michel Keaton, there is a scene about twenty minutes in with the first EVT recorder playing Michael a minidisc of EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena). Couldn't figure out which unit it was, will watch again and pause.
Good movie BTW

Was browsing Hulu and ran into this from KITE:Liberator 00:20:30, released early 2008

Great seeing the beautiful panasonic... movie wasn't so good.

This scene was taken when students were told to clear out their desk.

That is the MZ-R37. It's full metal body and overall sleek look may have been the reason the producers decided to include it in the movie cool.gif
