Just to let you guys know, Hi-MD trades are alive and well. (At least between moderators biggrin.gif ) Ishii and I have been experimenting trading albums in Atrac3+ recently so please feel free to do the same. If you are interested in trading with us, or with other members just drop us a note.

Ishii kindly sent me the excellent "Le Voyage De Sahar" by Anouar Brahem

In return I sent him an album by Pino Daniele an Italian singer / songwriter.

Today I sent him a copy of "Neo Sashimi" by The Sushi Club

And am looking forward to some possible John Coltrane in return.. wink.gif

The trading scene is very much alive indeed. I shall give Neo Sashimi a whirl shortly and hope you will enjoy Coltrane's Ballads. smile.gif

Ishii, some LP's that you might not have yet, most of them MiniDisked or in the process of:

Bill Evans | At the Montreux Jazz Festival

Osiris is that the first of his 3 Montreux albums? I have the 3rd ( this one ) if you are interested.

If you are interested, I can send you an MD transfer of it; and I am rather interested in the album you described, Richard.

Excellent, I'll contact you shortly via PM.

The Bill Evans | At the Montreux Jazz Festival is on MD, I'll copy it, and the John Coltrane feat. Pharoah Sanders | Live in Seattle has yet to be transferred, I hope I'll be able to find some time this week-end.
I think I've found some nice way to use those smallish old blue & red coloured edges Air Mail enveloppes...
MD trading! Cheers,
O.

Most brilliant! I shall try and ship out the titles you have requested via pm soon. cool.gif

For Osiris and anyone else wanting to trade I have a list of a lot of the stuff in my collection up at Discogs.com

http://www.discogs.com/user/richyhu

This is a pretty handy resource for viewing & trading info with others regarding your music collection. They are still somewhat lacking in some musical genres such as Jazz & Soundtracks as the site was original designed for dance / electronic music. That said it is growing every day. Feel free to take a look.

Right, Richard, I'll check it out, & might add myself as user on that site and start listing my collection too.
I haven't posted your MD yet, and not quite happy with the entirity of the recording I've made for Ishii, so this might not be ready right away.

Oh no problem - btw Ishii has started putting some of his stuff up on discogs too. His user id still is Ishiyoshi.

@Osiris: I just received Cannonball Adderley Live at The Troubadour! It's simply brilliant! For your reference, both “Nina Simone | Anthology” and “Akira Kurosawa | Film Music of Akira Kurosawa” are on its way to France. happy.gif

@Rich: Thanks for the plug and the new tunes. I really enjoyed Sakamoto's “Playing The Orchestra [Live]” – brilliant live performance of the “The Last Emperor.” ok.gif

At the moment it's all fairly ad-hoc as there has only been the 3 of us involved (maybe if more people come on board we will formalize the process). In the meantime just let us know what you kind of music you're into or would like to receive and we'll see what we can do! cool.gif

A little bump, to say Hi-MD trades are still alive and kicking!

I trade regularly with Kain_, and recently with Tull Fan, but have done quite some exchanges with AT-Board members.
I have to catch up with Rich and Ishii, I have some material I'd promised them... ASAP rolleyes.gif

I want in on this! Seeing how I've got a newfound interest in MDs now.. smile.gif

I would like to trade if anyone is interested. I like a lot of different kinds of music but my primary interests are jazz, blues, RnB (horn driven), Latin, Bluegrass and Newgrass.

I'm starting to get into jazz myself though I'm not sure where to start (I was thinking along the lines of Miles Davis)..

Anyway, can anyone recommend music similar to this?
