hello,

I am new to the forum so please excuse if I have posted to the wrong place.

I am building a wind harp and wish to use piezo devices as contact mics. These are in contact with the string that vibrates in the wind. My question relates to the use of the MIC (PLUG IN POWER) input of the MD. Can I take the signal from the piezo contact mic and plug straight in! Others have told me that they have used schaller piezo mics plugged straight into the MIC port.

BTW Is there now an alternative to the MD device? Why is this technology dying?
