The STR-DA5500ES, also known as the TA-DA5500ES in Japan, is Sony’s latest powerhouse ES series multi-channel network A/V receiver capable of distributing high-quality audio and video throughout your home. This Elevated Standard (ES) 7.1-channel receiver delivers all the benefits of Blu-ray Disc technology including Full HD 1080p picture quality, HD surround sound and DVD upscaling to near HD quality via Faroudja DCDi Cinema technology. It can also connect to the internet and access even more entertainment including music and videos, and share them in multiple rooms of your house. Plus, with built-in DLNA support you can access and share music, photos and movies from a compatible PC.
