Please read this section carefully!Note: This plug-in is a beta version! This plugin will overwrite the content of your database and probably mess it up So I advice you to backup your data so that you can test without bitching :-) If you have oma files you want to save from your device you can do it without risking to lose any data, AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT PRESS THE APPLY BUTTON! If you press the apply button your database will be overwritten, The easiest way to use this plugin is to start from a new database (not one created by Sonicstage, CONNECT player or MP3 file manager). Otherwise It might not work properly! Now for the usual disclaimer: I will not be held responsible for any damage this plugin may cause to your player to you your songs to your yadayadayada...
INSTALLATION/BACKUP:Here is what you need to do: Copy ml_sony.dll in your winamp/plugins directory plugin your device If you have a NWA1000, NAW3000 or any player that is not protected : You are done! just run winampIf your device is not recognise or if the transfered music does not work you might try :1) format the device2) Create a new directory "OMGAUDIO"3) Create a file named "04CNTINF.DAT" in this directoryIf you have a protected player make sure you have at least ONE of the following:1) MP3FM correctly installed with a MP3FM/DvId.dat file: see the official Sony page about MP3 File Manager; or2) the decodeKey.dat from the keywizard in the directory "GYM": see "Grab Your Music" for more info at: http://clientes.netvisao.pt/~sonygym/index.htm run winampDOWNLOAD YOUR MUSIC:If you want to copy your music from the player to your PC: go to your player in winamp media library select the music you want, right click->download the files will be saved in c:\ADDING MUSIC: go to your music library, select what you want, right click->sendto, choose your sony device. go to your device you should see the files you added with a "+" in front of them. finally click apply (bottom right corner), and the songs will be added to your walkman!; or just drag & drop some mp3/m3u/folder on the device window click applyREMOVING MUSIC: by selecting a file and pressing the delete key you can remove songs from your device. (you need to apply)see configuration for the meaning of the symbolsRESTORING YOUR DATABASE:WARNING! Please make a backup of your DAT files everytime you try something! That way if it doesn't work, you can always revert to your previous state. If you are wise you have made a backup of your OMGAUDIO directory just replace your current OMGAUDIO directory by the one you saved. In case you don't have a backup or want to try to rebuild yours:-> Go to your OMGAUDIO directory and delete all files except "04CNTINF.DAT" (also keep 01TREE22.DAT and 03GINF22.DAT if you want to keep your playlist)-> run ml_sony-> send one file or delete one file from the device-> Click apply to recreate all the other database files SonicStage or CONNECT Player or MP3 File Manager databases: If you have music on your player and it won't play or display "no songs detected" - your music database is likely corrupted by the player. As a remedy, you can try to force your player to rebuild the database by:-> Go to your OMGAUDIO directory-> Class your files by date. Some files "should" be wrongly dated (for ex: 2000/01/01)-> Delete wrongly dated files (they are created by the player not by SonicStage/CONNECT Player/MP3FM)-> Unplug your device, your player should rebuild is database
VERSION INFO:Version 1.0.4: splatterpop : added compatibility to winamp v5.35 splatterpop : added device auto detection added: -> playlist manipulation -> send playlist to device (directly from media library)-> send songs to playlist (directly from device),-> create new playlist,-> rename playlist,-> remove songs from playlist... fixed : when displaying playlist the tracknumber indicates the order in the playlist added : choose path to download the file fixed : download function failling when tags has character like ? \ / ... fixed : sending song to the device with no tag was crashing winamp fixed : columns not showing in the right order removed : Nocode file is not needed anymoreVersion 1.0.3: added fast track number save/load fixed sending playlist while already copying, fixed tracks being send twice, fixed library not showing after apply fixed playlist being shifted when removing some files from the playlistVersion 1.0.2: Drag and drop mp3 or m3u or folders (containing mp3 or m3u) Track number problem should be fixed Playlist support Song of the same album are displayed in the track number orderVersion 1.0.1: added version number & about screen Fixed + - not showing properly bug now show the space left on the device now show the percent of the current file album list and artist list are now sorted VBR files "should" work can keep adding files to the list while transferingEnjoy!
DEVELOPER'S INFO:1) Database meaning :00GTRLST - I think it's the root of the tree (never changes)01TREE22 - Playlist index correspondance03GINF22 - Playlist names01TREE01 index correspondance for 03GINF0X files01TREE0201TREE0301TREE0402TREINF - Tree initialization?
