Good Morning.

I have a problem about my PRS-600. I'd like to charge it without buying the original charger so I decided to charge it via usb. It works, but just from a PC. If I connect, e.g., to a Blackberry charger or another USB charger it shows me the screen "USB connected" but not the battery symbol, and It really doesn't charge.
Is there a charger that works? And a generic charger that I can buy on the net?

Thanks
Alessandro

I believe the USB charging design is similar to that for minidisc units. You can buy an inexpensive multi-voltage charger (the kind with a choice of heads) from a drugstore. This will charge into the special (not custom, just purpose-built) round socket to the left of the USB. Just set it to 4.5 or 5 volts and you should be fine. No need to buy an expensive one from Sony.

The USB charger for the MZ-RH1/MZ-M200 does ***not*** work with this unit.
