Still no solution. Dear sir don't try to fool us with some sweet words. I tried to call sony romania, and they answered me they know about the problem and they don't care. If you are so kind just give us the key combination for the service menu... (for example hold, 5x back 5x play 5x option will put your device in demo mode, so ... it must still be a combination for service menu).

I did it on the 754. Why don't you follow those instructions, first? You don't explain where it goes wrong....

You can try Google. At this stage in the product's lifetime, you will probably have to pay for the service manual, however, since it is relatively new. I found one for $25. Maybe you can do better......

It's free when you've paid for it. See post #11 in this thread.

There is no solution to the low volume issue,..as Sony most likely locked the service menu on all models nowadays. And all the EU models have the volume limit firmly in place - no link to a AVLS setting will help I'm afraid as it has NOTHING to do with that feature. That link to it above is a Sony service rep blowing smoke up peoples butts.

Currently there is no solution EXCEPT to purchase a non-volume restricted model. I would know,...I own/ed both EU and USA models. The USA models are quite loud.

Looking at the manual for the NWZ-S54x series, the firmware can only be written when the cover of the device is removed. At a guess I would say perhaps the service manual writing of the values you want (Sound Pressure SP) can only be done when the top is removed.
