Hi Folks

i recently acquired an EH930 unit only and for collectors reason i´d like to own the chargestand as well.

Anybody got one as spares ? I think not as many ppl will own this unit so maybe my search ends whilst started :P

By the Way that unit sounds really damn good. I didn´t know that its got a Hd Digital Amp before ;)

Do the EH50 & 70 got the same amp as well ?

I could offer things for trade like rare discs etc - just ask ;)

cheers

Yes this is the first ever released Hi-Md portable afaik. And to my surprise it has a HD Digital Amp.

I bought it defect for about 40$ and brought it back to Life :-P

Easy work cause i really only had to clean it from all that fancy dust that was inside and greased all the stucked Mechanics. They were somehow stuck so that "No Disc" appeared and no noise was heard first.

That was it.It plays just perfect.Even the redinig goes that fast after a new disc is inserted that i was surprised as how fast it can be in a Hi-MD unit.

So if ever anybody wants to share a Charge stand.. i´ll gladly take it ;)

cheers

btw i edited a picture of my unit in case nobody knows it :D

I think it is a pretty rare unit. I don't even see it in the browser. I had to find it on Sergio's site.

I have been trying to get one of those for a few years, it looks like an awesome unit! I think it's from the same era as the NH1, very high build quality.

I have two units of that generation : NH700 & NH900. No player only at all.

Haha I share your thoughts by every word.

The colour came out wrong , i think due to the light or the Camera. It's a Silver one ;-)

I would also like to get the bronze one.

Surprisingly there is no indication on the back of the Unit claiming its amp.

Other Portables got that usually.

So iam unsure about its amp now.

But it sounds like a blast.so nevermind :-D

@slugbahr can you confirm what amp was used in these early Walkman?

Not much Info alt all in the net about it :-/

Hi P

In 2004, probably in the first half of the year, Sony introduces the latest series of MDLP players, "30" with E630, E730, E830, and EH930 , this is probably the first Hi-Md player product; MZ-E730 HD have digital amplifier; on rear of EH930 no information about digital amplifier.

But, if 7 series had it, 9 must have it.

A nice day to all

If I remember correctly I thought this was a second generation player that came out after the first wave of Hi-MD Units (NH900 / NH1 / EH1 / NH3D). From my recollection it came out in 2005 maybe just before the DH10P. The EH930 did also have the HD digital amp.
