Sorry, but the answer given you is absolutely unreasonable and cannot be relied upon.

If your minidisc is in HiMD format, and the recordings were not protected at time of transfer originally, or were from optical or microphone/line inputs only, then the answer is correct.

If your recordings were SP or MDLP format then the answer is FALSE, unless your MD unit is the MZ -RH1 (also known sometimes as the MZ-M200).

If your recordings were by transfer (from SonicStage) and were not decrypted ahead of time (the default) then you are out of luck EVEN with the amazing MZ-RH1 or with HiMD recordings.

So you had better tell us exactly what format your recordings are in, what they will (and will not) play on, and what equipment you have at hand. Otherwise a general question gets a general answer which is wrong.

Happy Holidays!

Hello!

Thank You for the answer!

I have this MD recorder, see under.

I will make copy on my PC in mp3 format.

It's possible?

Happy New Year!

You can transfer to your PC the optical (TOSLINK) output from your JB930. But for this you need a special I/O (Sound) card in your PC. If you don't have one, I highly recommend the German-made Terratec models. You also need something to capture the audio but that is not such a problem. Most likely you should make WAV files (1411 kHz, CD quality) and then later on you can encode to MP3 once you figure out what parameters you need.

Good luck!
