In Topic: Can Hi-MD equipment be used as a Net MD ?

Yes of course. You just need a standard MD not formatted in Hi-MD format. Sonic Stage will recognize the disc as a Net-MD one and allow you to download your music in SP (false one), LP2 and LP4.

They gave me the first time the same sound experience than my first Rega Ella did. I paid them 200$ some months ago.

I use all the time my JB980 as a DAC.
Music 24bit-96kHz listened with foobar2000
PC audio card Creative X-Fi Platinium (coaxial out)
JB980 (DAC + recording my MDs in real time)
Cyrus IIIi amplifier
Sansui S-7XV or Tannoy R1

I don't understand : if you don't use RCAs and coaxial outputs, what is the use of your audio card for ?
I'm not using coaxial output, I don't think that even works = Ok
With the ASUS soundcard I get noise with the optical output = but you are not using coaxial output you just said !
because the ASUS card does not have a ordinary optical output = maybe yes because there an adaptator S/PDIF included in the box, is it a Toslink output ? or something like laptop optical output that allow 3,5" optical jack ?
The reason I don't have a stereo because I use mostly headphones, so I suppose that your headphones are connnected to the headphone analog output. So you hear the noise in your headphones ? I see that there is a software with complete settings for headphone use, one setting is perhaps wrong.
If Wasapi audio output don't work well, you can try :
