  1. Hi. Thanks for the suggestion. I just recorded a song via the Line In socket and it recorded it and played it back absolutely fine, so the problem seems to revolve around the USB connection. Really am a bit confused now. I was expecting it to be a mechanical problem with the recording head or something.
  2. And just to let you know that after some more research on this fantastic site I just installed SonicStage 4.2 and used it to load a song, both in LP2 and in SP. Same problem both times, so it looks like it isn't a software problem. Now all I need to find out is how it can be recording everything too fast......
  3. Hi guys. I have had an MZ-N707 for years now without a problem. However I hadn't used it for about 6 months lately and when I went to record some new discs the other day I'm having problems with the recordings. I am using the OpenMG program that came with the unit, and I've tried updating to the latest version but no luck. What happens is that every song I record onto the disc sounds like it's been recorded to fast and it plays back too quickly and with little hiccups throughout it, if you know what I mean. I recorded a whole disc like this. I've tried messing about with the settings to use LP Stereo, LP2 and LP4 but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I can play discs I recorded last year fine with no hint of speed issues or hiccups, so it's definitely something to do with the way it's been recording recently. Does anybody know if it's a hardware or software issue? Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance.........
