  1. Hello akdn1, thanks for answering my questions! I guess I can't download the old MDs unless I use Boot Camp....
  2. Hello everyone! Thanks a lot for your tips. I still haven't been successful, but akdn1 says, it might be because I was trying to download an MD using the Hi-MD machine. I didn't know that the MZ-RH1 could only download material recorded in Hi-MD mode. Can old MD machines (not Hi-MD machines) record in Hi-MD mode?
  3. Thanks a lot, raintheory! I spent several days installing the software on computers at work (and used various USB ports), though, and it didn't work on any of them. The Sony machine bought by our department was purchased from Japan and the downloaded software was from the US, so maybe there's some incompatibility there. Thanks again, though.
  4. I am trying to download from a Hi-MD MZ-RH1 to my Mac (OS X version 10.4.11). However, when I attach the MZ-RH1 to my Mac using the USB cable, the desktop doesn't show an icon for the machine. I have Hi-MD Music Transfer (version 2.0) installed, but it says "Device/media not connected." The MZ-RH1, meanwhile, is in "PC--MD" mode, so it *should* show up on the desktop, no? I can't download if the computer doesn't give me an icon to click on—help!!
