  1. Do you mean you want to copy files from your Mac to your MD? Selecting and dragging files from iTunes doesn't work, for some reason. But you can drag folders and files from the iTunes Music folder into the Hi-MD Transfer window, and then they copy fine.
  2. Sorry, this might seem obvious: Have you selected (highlighted) the track(s) you want to import, before you click the import button? The tracks are imported onto the desktop. I don't think it's possible to create a folder to import into.
  3. PS: Does your Mac have the Boot Camp application? If so, and if it's really important for you to be able to transfer old MD recordings, you can install Windows as a second operating system, then use the fully-featured SonicStage software. Just a thought.
  4. Hi again. I did a little searching around, as I'm still working this all out for myself. As well as the thread johnwesleybarker indicated above, the answers to your questions can be found here. In short: With a MZ-RH1, a Mac, and the Hi-MD Music Transfer software, you can only do MZ-RH1 ---> Mac transfers of Hi-MD recordings (so your old discs will not show up). You can also do Mac ---> MZ-RH1 transfers of regular MP3s (by dragging the files out of your iTunes folder into the Hi-MD Music Transfer window). Old MD devices do not record in Hi-MD mode. Hope I've got my facts straight.
  5. Yep, you're quite right. It turns out the people who sold me the device did a PC-MD transfer on regular MD mode (LP). After I erased it, the disc then showed up as recording in Hi-MD mode, and mounted my Mac. Thanks!
  6. Hi, You may have already solved your problem. But, just wanted to confirm that the Hi-MD to Mac transfer only works in conjunction with a Hi-MD recording (on a Hi-MD disc). My MZ-RH1 shipped with a regular disc, and didn't show up as an external device. After I switched to a Hi-MD disc, it showed up no problem.
