I mean the actual installer - it isn't detecting Hi-MD units.

What options do you have when you see the microsoft certification message?
-
Keep it coming! There's only three days left.
-
It should be in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\SonicStage\Packages.

Welcome to the forums. Try downloading the MDAC repair utility in the downloads section and fixing the MDAC and JET databases.

Confused with Specs. Description: NH700 and NH900

What's your maximum budget, debragrant? -
It's a fact -- his username is tmeg.

I think it's the only strength that's left. After getting a NW-HD3, I really couldn't imagine using any MD unit for playback purposes only and NOT recording. Hence why we see less and less playback only units each year. The ability to record for any line source and the live recording ability is the only true merit MD has in the world -- playback is just a bonus. Maybe if they increase density and write speed things may change, but it's extremely doubtful we'll ever be where we were during the late 90's. Done.

Nice package! Five hours left, someone should nab this..

Welcome to the forums. For those who are browsing by the topic with mild interest, here is the Honda Goldwing. cyto, it sounds like you've taken some interesting steps to integrate your MD into your bike -- I'd like to see some pictures of this (you can utilize our attachment feature or the Gallery). Before we continue, can you confirm what remote you're using? Is it the remote (sans LCD) that came with the unit, like this:

bobt, any update? Your in my thoughts, and I'm sure many others here are wishing the best.

greenmachine is 100% correct. Where do you live, debragrant? Perhaps we can help you find a NH900. -
It's important to get a fast hard drive as well. I would look into Maxtor's DiamondMax 10 series that are 250gb - 300gb SATA (not IDE) drives with 16mb cache. If you had two of these in RAID then you could really zip zoom and fly with Sonicstage or any other program and satisfy space requirements for any audio endeavor. These hard drives (the 300gb model at least) are about $130ish, perhaps more depending on the store. I echo a Socket 939 board, but dont' splurge too much on the processor if you go with RAID. Make sure you get some RAM with fast timings, as well.

Indeed, thanks for the note. Quite close to 20k. -
Please discuss this further at ATRACLife Colloquium.

Good thoughts, optimistic. Why have a cellphone on at a concert, though? It should've been off. Furthermore, your first concern seems a bit silly -- you can't scorn the hold function for doing it's intended purpose, but I suppose it would be better if the RH10 could display the levels whilst on hold. For those that have it, if one were to have the RM-MC40ELK, would that work? p.s. I fixed the graph images in the review.

The Sonicstage 3.2 offline installer not working is a severe annoyance.

Looking for a full install version of ss 2.3
Christopher replied to Denominator7's topic in Software
Have you tried downloading Sonicstage 3.2 from connect.com [dubbed the 'connect player'], or did you just download the MDCF installer? If so, download the one from connect.com and see how it works. -
At point of despair with SS 3.1/ 3.2 & MZ-NH600
Christopher replied to Strangely's topic in Software
Have access to another computer? It'd be worth a shot to see if it'll play nice with that.. Otherwise, you may want to try reinstalling via the directions in the FAQ. -
It doesn't matter, mmp64 -- weirving raises a point he wasn't even intending to -- it'd be insanely difficult for Sony to clear the misconceptions that are now installed in mostly everyone's mind at this point.

What anti virus do you have? Try running a 'complete' virus scan at housecall.trendmicro.com.

What operating system?

We have taken the installer down until we can correct the problems it has been inducing on various configurations.
