  1. This is obviously subjective as we may say Sony is the most innovative others will say the same about Apple, Samsung, etc... but I have one personal opinion of Sony that I feel strongly about and that is that their design team is second to none. As people have said, Sony has had their share of blunders as has everyone else but the one fact remains and that is whether the product is succesful, ridiculous or what have you, a Sony product always looks fantastic. I think that is an important factor. LL-
  2. Cheers for the help guys, I finally got some time and downloaded it again, no problem. The funny part is that I had an old version of SS on this exact laptop and I deleted it a while back and when I downloaded this new version it automatically threw in the songs I had on the old/deleted version of SS !! Not what I expected but cool anyway, at least it was not too much stuff. Thanks again, Cheers, LL-
  3. Hello all- I am looking to install the latest SS (4.2 ?) but my question is; When I install it will it automatically copy my music files from the "My Music" folder in My Documents into Sonic Stage ? I do not want this to happen, basically want to have an empty SS and then fill it with particular stuff, I don't need every song in there. If it does copy automatically how can I stop this from happening ? Thank you for any help !!!! Cheers, LL-
  4. Has there been any leaked information or any kind of photo, prototype, etc... around ? Cheers, LL-
  5. Hello all- Listening to more Barbara Moore, a great re-issue as only the Japanese could do. A great mixture of scat and sunshine pop !!! LL-
  6. Hello all- I am currently adding this beautiful LP. By Barbara Moore with music by Roger Webb. The LP is stunningly beautiful, full of enchanting melodies with some fantastic scat vocal thrown in. Some excellent samples for the DJ as well, on De Wolfe which made music for film and soundtracks, basically as BGM. Cheers, LL-
  7. Hi pata2001- Thanks for the information. I figured that was the case but it's nice to have verification. It's amazing how much music can be held on such a small device. Cheers, LL-
  8. Hello all- This is the most recent LP I have added to my NW-E99. This is one of 2 LP's Mr. Lytle did on the Milestone label in 1971 and 1972. I am a big fan of Jazz vibraphone. Especially Johnny Lytle, as well as Dave Pike and Billy Wooten. Mostly of the funky jazz variety, Charly Antolini, Jonny Teupen, Klaus Doldinger, etc... I use a Philips CDR-775 CD recorder to transfer my vinyl to CD and then eventually onto my MP3 player. The sound is incredible and much better than any CD I have heard !!!! Cheers, LL- Oops, sorry about the double post and pictures, I don't know how to remove one post ???
  9. Hello all- I am currently adding songs to my NW-E99 (Great little player by the way) and when hooked to my laptop and running Sonic Stage, 2 folders appear, Network Walkman #1 and Network Walkman #2 both stating 512MB of space. Can I assume that instead of 1 folder with 1G of memory it has 2 seperate folders of 512 each ? I started to fill up #2 and am close to filling it up so I assume when full I can work on filling up #1. Is this correct ? Thanks very much, LL-
  10. Hi atrain- Thank you for the information, 3.2 sounds good. I'm gonna go for it !! Thank you, LL-
  11. Hello atrain and Ishiyoshi- Thanks very much for your replies. This is good news as I can just start adding more CD's to my library and have plenty of stuff ready for when I bring home the new device. I'm just wondering why you think I should upgrade to SS 3.2 ? What are DRM restrictions ? It's just that I have been happy with SS 3.1 so I am thinking "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" !! Will there be any benefits to SS 3.2 ? Thanks very much for you help !!!! LL-
  12. Hello all- This is my first post and it is nice to see a forum dedicated to these topics. I have a NW-E99 flash player and am using SS 3.1 with ATRAC+ at 64 KBPS, I have found SS to be excellent and have had no problems at all transferring my music. I am going to purchase a NW-HD1 player in the next week or so and I am wondering if I will be able to use my current SS library with this new device and just start transferring my current library to the NW-HD1. I was just hoping that my current version of SS will recognize the new device and I won't have to install a new version of SS and have to start putting all my CD's back on my laptop again. Thanks very much for any information, LL-
