I have the same problem. In my case, the track was transferred from computer to MD using NetMD. However I cannot transfer the track back to the PC using NetMd because it fails to do it. Nor can I erase the track on either a NetMD or an "ordinary" MD. The screen shows "Track protect". I am hoping someone will know a way to erase the track. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Bill.
  3. Bertrik, Thanks for a very comprehensive reply. However, I am afraid that I'm not knowledgable enough to fully understand your suggested methods of blanking the disc. I don't know what Sonicstage and Simpleburner are. I hope to blank the disc using a Sony MZ-R37 but I can use a Sony NetMD MZ-707 if necessary. I did try to blank the disc using the MZ-R37 but that's when I got the "Track Protected" message. Perhaps the best way is to blank the disc using the service menu but, again, I'm not sure how to access that either. I have the user manual for the MZ-R37 but that simply implies that a track - protected track cannot be deleted. Perhaps you'd be kind enough to point me in the right direction? Bearing in mind that I am not a techie! Cheers, Bill.
  4. Hello from Brighton, UK. I wanted to check in all 20 tracks from Net MD so as to have a blank minidisc. But two of the tracks failed to check in due to an error despite repeated attempts. Can anyone advise please on how I can check in these two tracks or in some way delete the two tracks? Cheers, Bill. PS: Great forum. I'll be studying the live recording discussion.
