  1. Hoho, that sounds familiar ;-) I'm working on a converter for my iPod. I want to use my old MD Remote for an iPod. The problem is that i don't have one yet Good luck! JD
  2. Hallo, this german site claims the NW-HD1 can play MP3 songs without converting them first. http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/48768 But on the japanese site there are no mention about it? JD
  3. I thought on buying the NH9000 but now i'll wait for the second generation (and for some reviews). I'll buy me a new monitor first :rasp: JD
  4. Hehe, sorry but there is no way that sony just change/modify the header. I bet the .hma files are (very good) encrypted. I read a thread in another forum about hacking the encryption on NetMD but they failed! I suggest there is a hidden sector with the key information on the MD disc and only the MD player/recorder can read theses sections. JD (but no encryption is 100% safe! it's just a matter of time, knowledge and effort)
  5. Well said! That's my line :rasp: JD
  6. The 900 has no time stamp functionality. That's the reason why there is a modell on top of the 900 -> NH-1 But i don't know either whether the NH 900 can (only) display timestamp. JD
  7. @nietzsche Don't panik! I'm sure group function is enabled on all Hi-MD. But only the top modells have group program. (I think that's something different) Beside that, maybe there will be some new organizing function. http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=4616 JD
  8. Well you're right! It was just a suggestion. Time will tell... JD
  9. Your argument is also right but i'm talking about another (additional) protection. A program can detect if you have a cdr inserted instead of a real pressed (original) cd due trying to read ATIP information. (But CloneCD can prevent programs from reading ATIP infos) Well in case of Daemon Tools and Nero Image Drive it's pretty easy to detect the simulation. Just check the Hardware properties and you get this info: NERO Image Drivedrive2 SCSI CdRom Device Generic DVD-ROM SCSI CdRom Device JD
  10. Yeah that's right but if sony will the users not able to use SB with virtual cds then they'll build some protection in SB. You just have to check for some know CD/DVD Driver (e.g. Nero / Daemon / CloneCD ...) Remember some game have CD-R Identify checks (quite the same situation) But i don't believe sony would put efforts in this. JD
  11. I don't know SonicStage because i sold my N707 to buy a PDA 2 years ago. Just had my N707 2 weeks. Now i regret that and i'm going to put my PDA on ebay and get a HI MD. (Since i used my PDA only for MP3) JD
  12. Hello, i read in a german pdf about HI-MD that you can search either for groups, interprets or albums. Is that a new feature or does other Player/Recorder have this too? JD
  13. I doubt the radio has an optical output. :rasp:
