Windows XP SP 2 with latest security updates. Installed ver 2.1 and used installer to upgrade to 2.3 (unistalled 2.1 via the installer). To test I was able to transfer ~ 10 songs ATRAC 256 ino the Library. Problems: Mouse icon hour glass cycles on and off, mouse freezes repeatedly - then releases. Transfer took a looong time. Song playback from within SS 2.3, from either the Library or the the player (through the computer speakers) is fine for short duration, then loud "skipping" noise. Keeps doing this during playback. Cyclic freezing of thye program makes it impossible to use. I have not uninstalled/re-installed yet. Anyone else experience these sort of symptoms with SS 2.3? Clues to potential source of the problems?
