I've had a Sony MZ-S1 for nearly 3 years now. It's been real good to me and everything. Never had any problems with it. Until today. I was transferring some songs to it using OpenMG Jukebox. And as soon as I transferred all the songs and went to listen to them, the player told me the disc was blank. I was a little confused, but listened to an old disc with other music instead. When I got home later and tried it again, it ended up doing the same thing. Everytime my player turns itself off after a music transfer it wipes the disc clean. I tried it with Simple Burner and Sonicstage also. The same thing. I'm not sure what to do with it now. I'm hoping it's a software issue, but the more I look at it, the more it seems to be the player itself. It's rather worn and all, but I didn't think it would do that. It also has started to turn itself off when the cover is clicked open to access the minidisc port and battery slot. It never did that before, but now it's starting to. I'm afraid this is all leading to the death of my player. I just hope it's something else. Has anyone else had these problems or something like it? Anyway, thank you for whatever help you can afford.
