  1. I have had this unit in my car for three years and I love it.
  2. I have an MZ-RH10 and a couple of dozen HIMD-discs, and some of them (not all though) have occasional problems when uploading HI-SP or PCM-recordings from the disc to SonicStage; when this happens, "Access Error" is displayed on my MZ-RH10's screen and the track fails to upload further. If I retry uploading the 'problem track', it succesfully uploads (sometimes with certain discs this has required more than one retries, but in the end I have never been not able to upload tracks because of this error). I checked the forums a bit and some other people apparently have had this problem too. Anyway, it appears that 4.3 handles this situation a bit slicker than 4.2 and the earlier versions.
  3. Before yet another topic turns into an off-topic os-war, I would like to remind you all that this topic is meant to discuss the release and possibly the features of SonicStage 4.3. Sure, I'm just a beginner on this forum but I just don't see how discussing operating system preferences contributes to this topic.
  4. Until now I've always had trouble importing CD:s to my library; I'd always have to restart Sonicstage after importing a CD if I wanted to import multiple discs (Sonicstage would not recognize that I'd inserted another disc in my dvd-drive, the same thing occured with NEC, LG and Samsung drives so it was definitely a software bug). I'd had this problem with multiple Windows installations since SonicStage 3.1. I was glad to notice that the 4.3 version no longer suffers from this bug!
  5. Too bad.. Since Hi-MD works so well with Windows XP X64 I was kinda hoping that they'd finally implement 64-bit support for NetMD too.
  6. Works great on my XP too. I noticed that importing PCM from HI-MD no longer fails when an access error occurs on the unit, instead it starts moving the next track and prompts about the problem tracks. Nice. Has anyone tested the NetMD driver under 64-bit Vista? Has Sony finally implemented 64-bit support for the NetMD?
  7. I'm also desperately looking for a Net MD driver for Windows XP X64. Been almost a year since this topic was last discussed. Anyone noticed this discussion? http://www.planetamd64.com/index.php?showtopic=17880 Could disassembling and recompiling netmdusb.sys work?? I also bought HI-MD because I have lots of MD:s and I want my new portable player to support them. I actively use both NetMD and HI-MD at home and NetMD in car, I have a Sony MZ-RH10, MDS-JB980 and MD-XF5800 car player and I was really dissapointed when I saw that there's only HI-MD support available for Windows X64. I really hope this situation gets corrected soon, aren't Minidisc manufacturers (Maxell and TDK just announced a new line of MD:s) concerned about this lack of drivers on 64-bit operating systems??
