  1. Does anyone know if this model has a loudness problem? I'm thinking of getting one, maybe.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-SONY-MZ-DH710-HI-M...%3A1|240%3A1318

I used to have the DH710 and loved it. The DH710 is the non-european model so I think it is free of any download issues. i never noticed that it wasn't loud enough. One thing to note, though, is that this is a download-only unit if I remember correctly. Nevertheless, I always loved this unit because it looked so cool and it had a good feel to it.

  2. Does anyone have any information on this seller?

I have an excellently taken care of MZ-RH10 for sale

body and face looks absolutely new - I cut out a PDA screen protector to protect the OLED face

comes with its original nimh battery as well as two brand new GP nimh gumsticks and GP charger (the yellow one)

original AC adpater and USB cable are included

    $220 shipped continental USA

don't have time to post pictures right now, but I will once I get replies from serious potential buyers

    thx

  3. Thanks - I kind of need the money soon, so if it doesn't go here within a week, I'll probably go to eBay.

I've seen them go for over $300, used. So I'm sure you can get $300 here, if it includes shipping. But be prepared to wait for a while til someone buys it. There are a lot of cheapskates on here. I've been trying to sell my RH10 in mint condition with all accessories (minus the SS cd) with extra blank MDs for $260 shipped. But no one wants to buy. :unknw:

  4. Yes - please send a personal message to me with any offers, as well as where exactly you are located so that I can figure out the shipping cost. Thank you.

I can assure you that the MZ-RH1 is practically new. I have already packed it so that it is identical to the way I received it from the store I bought it from.

Contacte-le par MP. Plus efficace et plus discret :glare:

  5. Ya - I had one bad experience with a buyer who had a bit of buyer's remorse and tried to drag me through the mud.

I have great feedback here, and on head-fi (other than the one). I also have 100% positive feedback on eBay (under Volksjettatrek).

anyone who has dealt with me here - please speak up and let the truth be told. My most recent transaction was a MZ-DH10P which I sold to Raintheory

it seems alrose had bad feedback on head-fi

  6. Hi - I have my eye on an expensive pair of speakers, so I'm looking to get rid of my virtually new, mint condition MZ-RH1 to help fund the purchase. It is a black RH1 that has been very gently used. Original box and accessories will be included, just as if it came from the store. It is only 6 months old (still have the receipt if you want proof) and I haven't used it much at all. It's never left my house and it is in perfect condition (see the pics in my post below).

Not sure what to ask - I think I've seen used RH1s go for $270 plus shipping on eBay. Give me your best offer.

    Thanks,

    alrose312

  7. my poor DH10P...orphaned again...

I'd like to get an MZ-M100, or maybe MZ-M10. I'm willing to trade my MZ-DH10P. The unit is in great condition, and I'm hoping somebody would get more use out of it than I do.

    http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-DH10P.html

I'm in need of a portable that has a Mic-Input, and is Mac-compatible (hence the MZ-M100/M10). I might go for other Hi-MD units as well, as long as they have Mic-In.

I'll also consider a trade for possibly 2 good quality legacy recorders, provided they are MDLP and have Mic-inputs with mic sensitivity Hi/Low setting. I will consider this, although the main reason for the trade is for a Mac-compatible recorder that my wife can use, so no promises on the legacy portables.

The MZ-DH10 comes with it's charging cradle and cables. I'm not sure if it came with a remote initially, but I'll also throw in a basic RM-MC60 remote.

    I'll post pics if requested.

    Thanks!

  8. thanks. what I meant by drag-n-drop was something that would allow me to by-pass SS altogether, like having the computer recognize the MD unit as a removable drive that would allow me to drag the files into using windows explorer. But I realize that by doing this you would forfeit all the bit rate options that SS provides...so in the end, not a bad trade-off

    Congratulations, alrose312! :)

Drag'n drop works great with the RH1 and Mac combo, and I believe you can use SS 4.3 to do it as well - ever try it? Requires a Core 2 or Xeon multiprocessor computer to work optimally, but still...

    Cheers

basically, my turntable emits the digital signal that I can hook up directly to the optical-in on the RH1!...no need for anything in the middle (like a receiver) to interfere. It's just a direct signal to the MD unit which, when recording in PCM, allows me to capture a near perfect replica of the vinyl output.

Congratulations on getting what is fast becoming a collector's item. From a turntable, does a digital-out connection make a different type/quality recording than regular RCA line-out connections?
  9. No one I know (including my wife) understands or cares about minidisc - so will someone here please congratulate me on my new RH1?

I bought it a few days ago from B&H. I'll be using it mostly for PCM recording of my vinyl LPs (my turntable has an digital-out so they work really well together). I am very surprised by how small and light the RH1 is. I'm happy that Sony pulled all the stops with their last MD unit...nothing I can think of was left out (except drag-n-drop, but I know that is not possible anyway).

Way to go Sony, you're leaving, but you're leaving in style!

  10. what?

It seems to be that Minidisco no longer is going to sell but Hi Md RH1, or single it has the MZ M200, it seems to whom Sony or has let definitively make the Minidisc and or what they pitch the tent is to eliminate existence, is sad, that they think?

  11. Here are the pics...any imperfections you might see are just dust particles.
