Looks like there's a few debates on as to what this new Lossless does... My knowledge is that the lossless file created includes the lossy file, and when you try to transfer this lossless file to device the SonicStage extracts this lossy file out of the lossless file to save space on the device. That is why you need to choose which baseline bitrate you want to use for PD transfer, i.e. 64, 128, 132, 256kbps. So, the above description is incorrect. It does not automatically coverts into 256kbps. Again, it extracts the lossy file based on the bitrate selection you've made. Hope this helps. Cheers,
