I choose MD over other players because of the removable media, unlimited expandability, I can change the battery so I don't have to wait for recharge, and it's not very popular so I get more attention than the next guy with an ipod. I also like the variety of discs, and Hi-MD is cool too. I like computers, also, and I'm going to ITT for electrical engineering. I'd like to see Hi-MD get more popular, but sadly, I think it's doomed at least in the US, as the ipod is more popular and heavily advertised and has more of a following for accessories, but I like hunting for minidisc accessories, so it all works out.

  1. bought a Onkyo tape deck for 10 dollars bought a jvc minidisc player for 40 dollars bought some NIN on cassette bought tool lateralus on vinyl (limited edition picture disc) I've bought other things but can't think right now.
  2. I just bought a Onkyo TA-2130 and when I put a blank tape in and hit record nothing happens. All the buttons are electronic so I'm thinking it's either the switch on the front panel, the motor that engages the recording head, or the switch in the deck that hits the top of the tape. If anyone has happened to run across a problem like this, or know of a forum I can go to so I can talk to people about tape decks, any information would be great. Thanks, Jeremy.
  3. For 29.99 I got a brand new MZ-NE410 and a pair of MDR-Q55 headphones for 99 cents! If this isn't a deal please tell me, it was marked down multiple times, the first price being $99.99. Oh yea, this was at Music Warehouse.
  4. I was looking through the list of car stereos with MD players in them and none of them mention playing Hi-MD. Is there such a thing?
