  1. i just want it like the new mac software (but for PC), drag from the MD window to the desktop and auto convert to a .WAV file ... couldnt be easier if u use the MD for recording and laying that audio over some video footage... (all the new High Def handycams record there audio in a compressed Mpeg2 format.. and HI MD shits all over it!)
  2. 3 things... easy. *Drag and drop too AND from pc's AND macs *Also get rid of the LI-ON battery bring back the NIMH "gumstick style" so you can put on a AA battery if you do lots of field recording. *and put a 100-240v power supply in there so you can RUN the minidisc from anything but the internal battery! atleast this gives them somewhere to go with a new model (and they will get the sale too!) long live MD -Broox
  3. no doubt it will cahrge it.. i want to build something that will aallow me to use it in the field not relying on the lithium battery.. i want mega field power. but unsure if it will allow the rh1 to be on & use power from the aa batts. guess i can guinna pig myself... not too expensive to build. cool...
  4. does this only charge the mzrh1 or run it also? ty
  5. yeah that usb thing was one of the first things i noticed too... o/t hey any one worked out how to rig up a bunch of batteries and usb connector to power this bessie while im out in the "field" and away from 240v... i remember some talk of this a whle back someone saying it wasgonna b easy...? any help muchly appreciated Broox (cant stop grinning like a fool!)

  10. Also Video World in Adelaide are offering preorders... No final price on their website (room for haggling?) I've rung them and got them down from $599 to $490 with a bonus 1gb disc. See what you can get done for you (mention the minidisc community forums - it cant hurt). all their details are on their Website People have been caught out before with imported units having to be sent back overseas (at their cost) for any warranty work. All these units come with a full 12 mth warranty serviced by Sony Australia in any Australian capital city. Stock due July 1. Cheers Broox

  14. just quickly the sydney market for electronics is not as competetive as in adelaide, i recon the main contributor to this is that it is very easy to drive to the other side of town for a bargain. Adelaide can be much cheaper. thats my 2c worth broox RH1 in australia 6 july. (maybe earlier!) wanna buy it from a propper shop? PM me and i'll point u in the rite direction. garunteed under $550 au. i recon the first shipment is going pretty fast. Happy Hunting! Broox
  15. Lads, similar issues... got a RH910 (US Version - i live in Australia.) with any other HIMD / Flash or HDD walkman SS works fine, as soon as i plug the RH910 in it makes the right sounds "dong dong" (u get the idea) but is not recognised by windows at all... so i go into device manager right click on the usb thing with the yellow (!) mark,, scan hardware changes... nothing... then i reinstall driver, and get this message........ "The correct driver has been installed. You do not need to install this driver again." ---- ... any help would be awesome! cheers
