  1. Actually, that backlight is always on with the black-background/white-text option, its just that MORE power is used to light up the background pixels to cover up the light (and show black)... so this view will use LESS power, logically.
  2. Cool, thanks for the help guys. I am connecting it to a portable headphone AMP (well I would be...) and I was just curious.
  3. I tried to search unsuccessfully... can someone do a little test, if possible? It'd be much appreciated...
  4. Actually, it is. Stop the music and look through the "Advanced" settings, there is an option there somewhere. Nevertheless, I dont think its something you should worry about.
  5. I think you would be better of trying to get a replacement. Save opening it as a last resort. I replaced an iPod for the same reason. In my case it was about 1/8th of a MM (I am VERY obsessed over such things), and despite the fact that they couldnt see the problem, they swapped it over anyway. In your case with the creacking, Im sure they wont hesitate to give u a new one.
  6. How is this for a late reply, a month-and-a-half later: Thanks Stuge Anyway, so as not to leave this as a completely useless post; comparisons with my new white iPod 5G (gah, and I hope soon to compare it to an A3000 - me wants):
  7. I just got this little toy 2 days ago, so far Im liking it a lot. Here is some pictures.
