  1. Makes me think of the 'Microsoft Genuine Software Advantage' Tool...
  2. I've had the NW-E005F Walkman now for two weeks - and I simply can't get enough of it!! (Help! ) Why is it so cool? 1. The FM tuner must be one of the best that I've ever came across on a MP3 player - lately I've been listening more & more to radio. 2. My Walkman was imported directly from Japan and hasn't got the dB limiting like the European players got. 3. I've changed my equalizer to 'Jazz' and my techno + pop music sounds incredible. 4. Using VoidMP3FM to drag & drop albums/folders from my pc to my Walkman, works a treat and is the same as copying files with my Creative MuVo TX. 4. Sonicstage is not holding my pc hostage. 5. It's the funkiest Flash Walkman ever created - looks much cooler than an iPod! 6. The battery life is incredible - I've been skipping between albums, forwarding songs, copying songs for two weeks now and it's still going strong. (My Creative MuVo TX needed a new AAA battery every second week!) Very happy with my Walkman!
  3. Yes, the Sept update is also working fine with my NW-E005F! The trick is not to copy too many folders/albums at once, VoidMP3FM crashed the first time. Then I decided to copy 2 - 4 albums at a time, no problemo!
  4. Thanks for enlighting me, Stuge! I'm using VoidMP3FM to copy MP3 tracks from my pc to my NW-E005F, so I guess it's something similar to GYM? Thank goodness I could uninstall Sonicstage from my pc, it's the worst software I ever came across!
  5. Yes, Stuge is right, I think my NW-E005F was inported directly from Japan, so it hasn't got the problem that the European ones got. The European ones are limited to the amount of dBs that it's allowed to pump out.
  6. GYM = Gymnasium, or health club. It's how we refer to a health club in South Africa, we will say : See you at the gym.

    Lost bass on NW-E003

I bought the NW-E005F and after playing around with the equalizer, it seems Jazz sounds the best for my Techno tracks! It might be your earphones, swop them with a different pair and listen again... *I bought the Sony 'earbuds' and they are superb with my Walkman.
  8. The MP3 format is good enough for me and it's universal - maybe it's because I lost half my hearing with my first car's audio system?
  9. I also bought the Sony NW-E005F - it is absolutely fantastic! Hated the Sonicstage software (I prefer Media Player 11) and downloaded VoidMP3FM, it works a real treat and works the same as my MuVo TX. The big difference being that I had to buy a new AAA battery for my MuVo every week, whereas with the Sony I don't need batteries anymore - hooray!! Also, the battery life on the E005F is superb. The FM tuner is very good, get better reception and sound with it than with my MuVo. My first MuVo was USB 1.1 and it took a long time to fill up 128MB - scary? The Sony is USB 2, my pc supports it and it doesn't take long to fill up 2GB...
  10. Void, first of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH for VoidMP3FM - I was about to return my MW-E005F to the shop where I bought it on Monday, but VoidMP3FM saved the day! When I bought the MW-E005F, I thought it's exactly what I want! I had a Creative MuVo, forgot it on the plane and had to go shopping for a new MP3 Player - and that's when I stumbled across the MW-E005F! Took it home and was appalled when SonicStage was staring me in the face. The software is pure horse-dung!!That's why I didn't bought an iPod, because of the stupid iTunes software (I love Windows Media Player 11). Just when I was about to give up all hope (I was seriously considering 'porting' all my songs to Sonicstage, but I just couldn't get myself to do it - the software completely sucks + the incovenience of having to transfer everything through Sonicstage! Then I found VoidMP3FM!! Llast night I was still up till 03:00 to enjoy this fantastic MP3 Player - and it really kicks the lama's ass!! Thank you, Void!!
