  1. Well I am sure it won't go wrong in all instances because then they wouldn't have released it at all. I just think it's not fully tested either because I never had such a problem installing a program and there is nothing odd about my configuration. Well it's a laptop with wireless Internet connection. Anyway, it all seems to function OK now.
  2. It's a rather buggy install proces under XP. I had to restart install a few times with error messages 2051, 20697. Then finally it said install was OK and I rebooted. Then all my icons were gone on the start screen of XP and I forced another reboot. Now all seems to be fine. Ridiculous that this release was open for the public. Probably another hastily created beta release now Vista has launched.
  3. I have a niece who is chatting through MSN, writes a poem and talks with me all at the same time. She does it fairly well however I must admit is has not the depth of a normal conversation.
  4. It is quite easy to ruin them I know from experience so I just ordered them as ready to use product from Greenmachine ...
  5. I am practising 1 hour every day folding the px100 like I own it for years and getting it in the box without hurting myself or bystanders (after all, it is streatwear). Anyway, I love the sound ....
  6. I have emailed a bit with someone who made recordings with a rather old fashioned minidisc recorder all over Europe. He has send me a recording of and organ concert in the Dom in Trier and it is quite amazing. He uses very simple boundary microphones (PZM) and I am planning to use a similar set-up. I am now experimenting a bit how to place the capsules of Greenmachine in or on a boundary ... a flat small peace of wood. Then during recording you can place the boundary microphones on the floor of the church.
  7. Thanks very much Greenmachine for your answer !
  8. Hi, I was wondering how to use some settings because they are rather vaguely explained in my manual of the MZ-NH700 and I suppose they influence each other. First I have to set the "REC Set" - MIC Sens and choose between 'Sens High' and 'Sens Low'. Then I have to set the "REC Set" - MIC AGC and choose between "Standard" and "LoudMusic". Now I was wondering if it was necessary to use the line-in when you have these options? E.g. if you choose Sens Low and LoudMusic is it possible to make live recordings without problems using the MIC input ? I want to record classical music and church organs. Has someone experimented with these settings and what are the results ? I can try all these settings and find out for myself however maybe you have some tips. (I am using greenmachine's GM standard)
  9. And is this also the the best way to import lectures? I have 8 numbered maps about 8 topics and in each map 10 numbered lectures (mp3 files). All well organised and I want the same structure on a Hi-MD disc. How can I import them in SS while leaving the structure intact?
  10. Hi, in Windows XP logbook I noticed a 7034 error which has to do with an unexpected cancellation of the MD Simple Burner Service-service. Although I have no problems with MD Simple Burner and/or Windows XP I don't like errors in my system logbook. Any clues how to prevent this error?
