Daiei MD | "Savings" range 10 Pack Slim Case This was another set for Japanese supermarket chain Daiei, from their "Savings" range of products. Made in Korea (presumably by Saehan), they came in 10 packs only, in these "Slim Case" flip top boxes with just the discs and no individual cases. The disc colours are the same in each set (Green. Blue, Clear, Purple and Pink). The 74 minute variant had a green wrapper and the 80 minute set an orange wrapper as seen here. Again, date unknown, but presumed to be early 2000's. Daiei MD | 「暮らしの８８」"Kurashi no 88" Made in Korea by Saehan for the Japanese supermarket chain Daiei, these discs are from around 2000 / 2001. The range was called 「暮らしの８８」 (Lifestyle 88 or Living 88). According to the news release, this was a range of around 300 everyday products within Daiei stores, which as the name (and the product contents and packaging suggest) was designed to be cost-conscious and sold at the very low price of 88 yen each (hence the name). Of the two I have there are a couple of slight differences on the rear of the wrappers, but nothing major of interest. Very basic labels too and no cases of course. Also available in blue (which I don't yet have). mark of “value” MD The mark of “value” MD media is made by Saehan and it’s identical to its Natural WAVE collection. I believe it’s available in five color scheme - blue, pink, green, purple and crystal.
