Can anyone tell me how to move files from one album to another in SS 3? Also, when I transferred from the player it didn't ask me where I want to transfer the songs to and it automatically converted them to WAV. I'm going to fish around in the options to see if there is a way to have it ask me. Thanks,

_Scott

I'd be interested in this as well.

Upgraded to 3.0 from 2.3 - didn't like 3 as I couldn't move tracks around so decided to go back. OS wouldn't let me and now when I try to install 2.3 I get the hanging problem (XP2).

What an idiot I've been...

Finally had time to sit down and check out SS3 - blimey, ain't it easy.

I've only been using it for a couple of days but I can't work it out - I wish I hadn't upgraded from v2.3 now. Tried going back to v2.3 but had the dreaded OpenMG Secure Module errors! What a pain.

SS sorts things using each track's tag info.

If you want to move tracks within the library, simply change the tags to reflect where you want things moved to.

Yeah... basically you *can't* just move songs from one album to another... you have to change the album name on the tracks you want moved, and they'll move over automatically (with a warning the first time you do it).

Playlists are the only entities that still act pretty much like albums&playlists acted pre-3.0.

I basically emulated a pre-3.0 setup by creating a playlist for every album that has all the tracks in that album, then setting my views to "playlists only." Then if I want to move tracks around like before I just do it.
