Listening to Dream Machine & Queensryche ,, my latest "Catch" on Vh1 classic TV on DVD-RAM;; just edited the commercials out on my Sima;; and now re-recording A/V onto a (Pre-Master) DVD+R ((at the same time recording the audio onto my Sony MXD-D40 Deck just for fun))..

next step:: takeing the DVD+R version with NO chapters and sending it into my PC#1 via Nero9 and creating the song chapters;;

then burn my Master DVD-R.. (with visual chaapter efx)..

then PC#2 will make the "Copies" for my "Rock students"..

Sorry,, i am not familiar with both bands to know the names of their songs;; but they are GREAT!!!!

i am LISTENING a bit of distortion which may be my EQ set too high in gain on my Living Room set up when i originally caught them;; i shouldda grabbed the audio then onto my Yamaha MD Deck (digitally);; but i was too busy playing my 88 Key Casio electric piano..

At work, on my MZ-R500 in LP4, through Koss MAC-7 headphones:

* The Fashion Statement: The Fashion Records Story (reggae, ska...)

* Welcome to Woop Woop, Original Soundtrack (indescribable)

* Pure 60's: The #1 Hits (Get out the a.m. radio)

* All-Girl Review (partial, custom mix made by my brother, one of the two people I ever convinced to do MD)

How can you insert pix here?

i am listening to my lastest sound clip i have made on my MD-Deck..

it goes like this from "The Bride Cuts the Cake song for weddings::

it's called the Bride Cutes the Bang..

"The Bride cuts the Cake,, the bride cuts the cake;; Hi-Ho the Merri-o the Bride cuts the "// i inserted a LOUD Explosion here;; then a moment of silence;; and then a South Park sound clip of "A**master"..

it will be the header for all my next A/V projects;; and a testimony of how i would HATE to come out of retirement and have to DJ with MD's and do weddings..

anyone see the MD portable in the Mop Cemmercial??

Canon in D by: pachabelly (sp);; planning to teach it to ALL my students at different levels..!!

soooo,, i NEED to slow it down;; my DJ version from a Wedding CD is fweaking too fast..

soooo, i am making a test run::

1.. recording a new slow version from my Numark Axis 9 CD turntable;; it has Speed control without changing the pitch;; after all ,, canon in D MUST be in D.. (but,, it tends to distort as you slow it dowm to 20/30 BPM)..

2.. downloading it into my Hi-MD900 and playing it back slower and recording it..

this is to see which one distorts the LEAST When slowed down a bunch..

it's an "Ear" thing;; sometimes when i remix something;; i like to end it with a TOTAL slow down (Melt Down) and into obsessive distortion..

Canon in D MUStT stay sane;; cause my students will tend to be creative and turn it into an Acid Rap..

I'm currently listening to the same record (bought at the show)... and I did record it (need to edit some parts still) but there was way too much crowd noise (irritating non-fans :P )

the recording came out pretty ok, but you really have to focus-out the talkative numbskulls!

so far;; the Axsis9 DJ turntable sounds HORRIBLE slowed down that much..

wil try Hi-MD900 now;; but,,

i rayzray LOVE to listen to my Hi-MD900 ;;SLIGHTLY speed up so as to make ALL the songs "Exciting" and vibrant..

good for jogging and slow joggin..

well,, off to my "listening"..

late edit]] well it's a toss up;; the Hi-MD900 may sound a bit better at 50% slower;; but;; the HiMD only gives an option of 10%,,20%..25%,,33& and 50%..

the Axis can be set an ANY speed;; no percent;; just slide da slider..

but,, my Axis9 is too big to take to bed..

i LOVE listening to my HiMDah900's..

Litening to a local Richmond Va . artist I have played with

Jackie Frost , her first albumn

The second albumn is called Calliope

Jackie Frost Trio

Jackie Frost Trio is Jackie Frost (lead vocal, acoustic guitar), Danny Hughes (acoustic guitar, vocals), and Richard Ward (banjo, vocals). For over ten years they have performed infrequently at coffee houses, private parties, and local concert halls in the Richmond, VA area. Their vocal arrangements and acoustic adaptations of popular, but not mainstream cover tunes, and their provocative original material have made them a local area favorite.

Fans of all ages seem to enjoy their music, which runs the gamut - from straight ahead delta blues, to jazz influenced improvisational standards, to bluegrass powered arrangements of easily recognizable covers, to original material that can only be heard at a JFT show.

The JFT rarely performs as a trio. The same enthusiasm that draws audiences seems to draw fellow musicians as well. They have had the pleasure performing with such notable area musicians as Billy Lux (acoustic string bass and the best bass vocals ever), Daniel Clarke (piano and constant musical inspiration), Robby Sinclair (drums), Curtis Fye (acoustic string bass), Malcolm Pulley (mandolin and composer), Chris Fuller (mandolin), and Ryan Hughitt (acoustic string bass), Anthony Dowd (keys) and Rusty Farmer (acoustic bass). They have played some of the best-known stages in the area, including Ashland Coffee and Tea, The Carpenter Center for the Performing Arts, The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, St. Catherine's McVey Theater, The Virginia Commonwealth University's Performing Arts Center, and the University of Richmond's Modlin Center for the Performing Arts.

Calliope, is JFT's third CD, their first on the Courthouse label. Grammy award winner, Bill McElroy, recorded, mixed and mastered Calliope at his Slipped Disc Studio in Ashland, VA.
