I've just got myself a MZ-N710 and i'm having issues getting recordings over from my laptop.

I'm using a USB cable that the MZ-N710 picks up and my laptop can see the device. I've updated all the drivers for the MZ-N710 and even got the latest version of SonicStage because the version on the CD is very old.

I'm using TDK disks to record onto.

The file transfers, and says complete. I goto play the song ive just moved over and it plays but no sound comes out. When i eject the disk and put it back in the disk becomes blank again.

What am I doing wrong? I'm using the standard transfer mode and under advanced i'm using lp2 stereo.

I've got a feeling ive missed something very simple but cant figure out what.

It sounds to me like the writing block of your MD unit is going kaput. The fact that the disc is blank when you pull it out points to it.

Thanks, hope this isn't the case.

When it writes over it does the save data file operation, it stops and then when i remove the link to my pc it does the TOC thing. The song then appears but plays no sound and when i eject the disk and put it back in it's blank.
