WindRiver
I am converting my CD to ATRAC in SonicStage 3.3 and in SonicStage Options have specified a dirctory (Sony Music Library) on an external hard drive to store imported files. When I try to transfer files to my Hi-MD player I get an error message that the tracks cannot be found. Similarly if I try to play a track from SonicStage it can't find the track but the program offers a screen to specify the location of the track. If I then browse to my external hard drive directory it then plays the track OK, and if I then use SonicStage to transfer the track to my Hi-MD player it transfers OK.It seems that SonicStage doesn't carry through the location of imported files specified in the Tools>Options to other parts of the program.Has anyone else had this problem and found a work around? The one that I got to work isn't practical for a large number of files.
Christopher
Welcome. You have to go into the registry and edit this accordingly. Try searching the registry for the default directory name and poke around.
WindRiver
Thanks! SonicStage 3.3 used this registry key:My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\sony Corporation\SonicStage\Import Search Paths C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\SonicStage\PackagesI changed the search path in this key to the external hard drive directory where I keep the SonicStage library and everything works OK.
