monkeyman
I just bought Sony NW-E407 MP3-Player and after 3 hours of constant searching thru these forums and Internet I still can't use it due to stupid SonicStage "Cannot locate the files required to open the database file" problem.I really tried to find the answer myself, used Search function here and so on.1. I reinstalled SonicStage several times (version 3.4). No success.2. I re-registered MDAC and Jet files with repair tool. No success.3. I uninstalled all codec packs and even QuickTime. No success.4. I also tried to reinstall mdac.inf file from Windows/INF folder, but failed. Every time I do rightclick/install pointing on particular file in Windows setup or in ServicePackFiles folder I'm getting "Setup cannot copy blah-blah-blah". So no success either.I REALLY dunno how to fix this problem. Can anybody help me with this?P.S.: I have WindowsXP Professional SP2.
monkeyman
I suddenly found the solution myself. There's a nice small program on Sony site called MP3 File Manager. If anybody still have crazy issues with SonicStage, here's a link:MP3 File ManagerThis is perfect for me since I neva thought of using SS for anything except music transfer.
