Hello, Hi,

I own a Sharp MD-MS722-S (which I love and got used to his little failures)

and looking for a digital transfer on my mac.

So since my MD has no digi out

I'm looking to get a MD deck with a coaxial digital out (S/PDIF)

—— My audio card (MOTU 828mkII) has either optical ADAT I/O and S/PDIF coaxial I/O.——

Do you know, guys, any MD deck with digital S/PDIF coaxial IN

that can read my 24bits (ATRAC 9 I think...) MiniDiscs ?

Does the Kenwood MD-203 for example could read properly my MiniDiscs?

Thanks,

pascl

Here's some Sony decks with digital out. There may be others that I have forgotten:

JB920

JB930

JB940

JB980

JE770

JE780

The only deck which Sony is still selling that has a digital output is the JE780.

Edit - you might like to check each model, as I am not sure if all the decks have the full set of digital connectors (coaxial and optical).

Thks for the replies.

I know the ones that has/hasn't digital out.

The question is : Does anybody try to transfer "old" recordings MD-support, using a recent USB MD device to Mac/PC?

Which MD-deck/portable will be able to read and play Digitally OUT my MD recordings made on Sharp MD-MS722-S ?

...migrate to MZ-RH1 (Sony) ? ... it can transfer to mac via usb cable....

Great idea, carlesraf! USB would be the best of course!

But I heard that NOT all device can read well. I made some phone call to companies and they don't guaranty the migration will work!

...So I wander....

I guess I'll have to test before buying!
