Hi, guys

Just wanted to share with you all my joy ,

I have been waiting a long time for this trip to New York.

I'm still in New York now and went to B&H Photo Video

Pro Audio store were they have the MZ-M200 as an professional field

recording device.

I got my new toy MZ-M200 with an optical cable an ten HiMD.

It's an amazing machine and it feels well built.

I'm very happy with my new purchase, they also have all kind of

MD media , HiMD , 80 Min with individual case or in case of five.

I try it with my Sennheiser phones and the result is an amazing sound.

Up with MD!! :clapping:

Welcome to the club:)

I ordered mine back several months ago. I really like it too. I am going to try a live recording (concert) and see how it does. i know I have been afraid to use it in the field, (it'a my baby!) so wish me luck. good choice. Long live MD!

it is indeed a wonder but a bit fragile. Be kind to it and good luck, welcome

It's not that fragile -- take it from me as a working Pro photojournalist who'se covered some rough spots. It's smaller and more discreet than some of the (excellent) tascam gear a lot of pros also use --not Hi-MD of course unlike RH1 etc.

Of course don't MIS-TREAT it but it's a professionally designed piece of kit which WILL take a few knocks in the course of a job.

Enjoy.

Cheers

K

I wish I could agree with you there given that my RH1 took a 3ft tumble to a vinyl covered concrete floor whilst still in its leather case and since then, it has lost its recording ability.

My NH1 has had similar bad luck (I really need to keep these things away from apprentices!) and it has survived, again while in its leather case.

Long and short of it, that was enough to convince me to get a PCM-D50 and it will be kept well away from any careless twits who don't look after my own equipment as much as I do.
