Hello,

I am considering buying a Onkyo HiMD fullsize deck but i cant find any UK

dealers.

Are there any UK users that have bought one and from what shop?

If i am stuck i could try a european dealer so again anybody purchased

from an European dealer?

Thanks for your time

There are no official Onkyo Hi-MD deck dealers outside of Japan, with the exception of whetzky and fromjpnpro eBay shops and AudioCubes2. PriceJapan is also a solution to acquire one.

I have found the Onkyo MD-133(S)on both pricejapan and audiocubes2.com

They both look like they would ship to the UK.

Do you have recommendations or used any of these before?

thanks for your help

I bought my Onkyo MD-133 from pricejapan using moneybookers.com. Interesting price considering the currency rates between Euro and Japanese Yen at that time. Fast delivery and excellent communication. I had to pay customs duty though.

Any reason to use moneybookers rather than pay pricejapan.com directly?

I expect they add there own fee if this is a third party service (escrow?)

PriceJapan:

Going to cost me a bit more than i expected with delivery etc

United Kingdom GBP 441

bluetin:

Onkyo MD-133 INTEC 275 Hi-MD Deck Recorder

* Available 1~4 business days on receiving payment.

- Buy Voltage Converter?: No need x 1 £365.28

Sub-Total: £365.28

EMS (Usually 2 ~ 3 working days to deliver. Includes Insurance premium of 150 yen.): £54.41

Handling Fee 5.9% + US$0.30: £24.98

Total: £444.67

not much in it but still a fair bit

thanks

It's was a bit easier and faster for me. I have to stop by my bank office to make international payement. And I didn't had the time to do so. That's why I used Moneybookers. BTW, Moneybookers fees are lower than paypal's one.

Yes I think that could be a good way to go.
