travelinbeat
This was the first *real* investment I made in the taper community. I enjoyed how unlike most MD recorders, this device features not only an optical input, but also on-the-fly level setting (the ability to change levels as the device is recording). The device has a very neat blue OLED display (which I really enjoyed for stealthing, as it didn't cast off much light). Many of the original things that came with the device have long-since been lost, but what I am selling is enough to run as soon as you get it:- 1 MZ-RH10- 1 HiMD disk- 1 Original Sony pouch for the device- 1 extra external AA battery attachment (original)Edit to include:- Original Box, packaging, manuals, and instructions- Original walkman earbuds (never used)- Original SonicStage software CD- Original Sony AC power adapter- USB cableThe battery attachment is a pretty neat thing, and was pretty much exclusively how I powered the device back when I was using it. It's a tiny sled, just big enough for one AA battery, which finger-screws onto the side of the device to provide extra juice. Unfortunately, the original battery is slightly corroded (pictured offsite) and cannot hold a charge for very long. I never had a problem though, with running off of one AA until juice gets low, then swapping out for another AA while relying on the other battery. I once priced out a replacement for the oddly proprietary battery that the device wants, and though I cannot recall what the exact list price was, I remember it being too high to justify.Anyways, the device is in decent cosmetic and fine mechanical condition (save the battery issue outlined above). It has some scratches on the face, normal wear (see pictures). I am asking $225 OBO PRICE DROP: $185, you cover PayPal and shipping. Thanks for looking!More info on this device can be found at this link: http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-RH10.htmlAdditional photo's UL'ed offsite:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/tra...MG_0841copy.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/tra...MG_0846copy.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/tra...MG_0847copy.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/tra...MG_0848copy.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/tra...at/IMG_0845.jpg Edited May 13, 2009 by travelinbeat

Sony_Fan
They sell for more than $200 on ebay, so try there. I sold my RH10 on this forum for $225 shipped as well. Your price is good and fair.

I hate to see it go, but I am in need of the cash and I'm MUCH rather sell it to someone who will appreciate it fully than some hack on flea-bay. I'd really rather not have to resort to auctioning it... PM me, people!

Hacks might bid upto $20-30, but then serious ppl will take it further. Just my 4 cents.
Tom in RI
I purchased an MZ-M100 in April for $185 as a Buy It Now item. That unit came with the original box, all accessories and the manual. It seems to me that $225 for a unit with almost none of the accessories is a bit high.

I did some looking through the classifieds here and reckoned that it'd be about on par, but I have been encouraging people to PM me with offers. I am not married to the price of $225; it's an asking price. If you want the unit, get in touch and maybe we can work something out. If anyone out there wants to negotiate, I'm open to serious offers!
Strungup
I looked at the other pics , it looks like a crack in the face or scratch in the last one . also quite a bit of wear on the unit is visible in the other pics . Just consider those things in the pricing . It would be nice to know how many hours the RH10 has on it .

[...]Just consider those things in the pricing . It would be nice to know how many hours the RH10 has on it .Yes, the imperfection on the face is a scratch, not a crack *upon closer examination, it looks like it may actually be a small crack after all, see pic's in next post. The unit was used exclusively for recording live concerts, not as a daily playback device. As such, it received very little use considering how long I've had it. I used it for probably less than 20 shows, which would've been roughly an hour and a half each, so add some on and we're looking at about 50 hours. Perhaps I'm being overly conservative, but even doubling that figure makes it just 100hrs, and I truly doubt that it has seen NEARLY that. The item is as described. I've made no effort to hide anything or misrepresent it in any way (note that I take care to include a picture that has the scratched face and a picture of the corroded battery). I'll get more pic's up soon. In the meantime, please keep on with the questions and inquiries! Edited May 13, 2009 by travelinbeat
travelinbeat
OK-- I went back and edited my last post to indicate that I now feel that the mark next to "SONY" on the face of the device is, indeed, a small crack. I ave also taken some more pictures and uploaded them at Flickr-- please check them out.http://www.flickr.com/photos/28043451@N05/...57618088455860/Finally, I wanted to let you guys know that in light of discovering that this imperfection which I thought was a scratch, is in fact a crack, I am dropping the asking price from $225 to $185. I have updated the original post as well to reflect this price drop. Please let me know if I can answer any questions you have, or clarify any other details you see in the photo's. I am happy to clarify any uncertainties for anyone! Edited May 14, 2009 by travelinbeat

travelinbeat
I am very interested in this unit how does $100.00 sound to you let me know ok.I do live in OHIO if you are near Ohio I might be able to pick the unit up in personThanks for the interest--Honestly, $100 seems excessively low. Though this unit does have light surface scratches and a small, cosmetic crack, it is in p-e-r-f-e-c-t mechanical condition, and works absolutely perfectly. I am the original owner, I have hardly used it. The item sold new for $300, and though I know I cannot honestly expect to ask what I paid, I think that $185 is an extremely reasonable price... These units go on eBay for about this price, and God only knows what you're getting from that place.
travelinbeat
Well I've already offered to lower the price, so I'm not going to go back on that, but in light of some of the new goodies I've found, I am asking the buyer to pick up the PayPal fees and shipping.I wanted to tell you that I have found a bunch of the original swag that came with the MZ-RH10 in my closet! This includes the following (all been added to Original Post):- Original Box, packaging, manuals, and instructions- Original walkman earbudss (never used)- Original SonicStage software CD- Original Sony AC power adapter- USB cableI am currently at College in Kansas, graduating in a week and a half (yes!), and the above listed accessories and packaging are all back at home in the Washington DC area, so unfortunately I am unable to get pictures right now. But if you do purchase the item, for $185 (+ Fee's and Freight), I will hold-off on shipping it out until I get home from Kansas (the week of May 25th) and ship the entire purchase all together. I apologize for not being able to include photo's of these newly added items; they're 1,400mi away!I *think* that with all of this extra stuff, this listing now includes all components that were included in the original sale aside from the remote (and again, the battery I have is pretty much dead, it is in need of replacing if you want to be able to use the device without the assistance of the AA battery attachment or plug-in power). Thanks for looking, as always, please don't be shy with questions! sfbp
I balked because I turned one down at $100 Can about a year ago. Since then I have stocked up on other units. I am simply not interested at that price. I have no idea whether this is the prevailing opinion. It still doesn't upload like the RH1, as aesthetically pleasing as the unit is.Good luck on Ebay - the units there certainly fetch a lot sometimes.
