Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is the third game in the Uncharted series, created by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation 3, and due for release on November 1, 2011. It is the sequel to Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

Uncharted 3 will see protagonist Nathan Drake and mentor Victor Sullivan travelling around the world to such places as the Rub’al Khali desert, in search of the legendary lost city, the Iram of the Pillars. The plot will draw from the archaeology days of T. E. Lawrence. Creative director Amy Hennig has explained that the desire for a desert-themed Uncharted stemmed from wanting to push the team creatively and technologically, as “organic” elements such as sand, water, and fire are “technically difficult to credibly render with animation”.

New features in Uncharted 3 will include 3D stereoscopic support, “enhanced backward climbing” and the ability to fight multiple enemies at once. The multiplayer and co-op features will also be greatly expanded.

An expanded trailer was released at the 2010 Spike VGA’s, around two minutes long, with in-game footage of Nathan Drake in the desert:

Jimmy Fallon spoke to some developers at Naughty Dog and had some Uncharted 3 gameplay for several minutes during his talk show, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Click here to watch this video in higher quality on YouTube.

Lastly, an eight minute long video has surfaced showing the behind the scenes look at the development of Uncharted 3 teaser trailer, which has some interesting reflection, exclusive gameplay footage, and more:

Please let us know in the comments if any of the videos are no longer working and we will fix it. Thanks!
