1) must I use only OpenMG Jukebox or SonicStage for the Net-MD connection ?

2) is it ok with a keyboard with USB to PS/2 adapter ?

You can use Simple Burner, or even the Pythonesque download hack from the #linux-minidisc project, to write things to the disk via USB(there's no upload but there IS optical out). You WILL need the drivers I recently uploaded here if you don't have them.

Just tried keyboard, and no, it doesn't work. I have rarely had any luck with those Microsoft adapters. I have another keyboard to USB adapter but it does the opposite (PS/2 keyboard to USB socket - even that has been unreliable at times). Better to get a real PS/2 keyboard, they should be available for $10.

I just tested out the JB980 to make sure it is still working (I avoid the NetMD mostly because it means I always have to delete the driver before doing an MZ-RH1 upload, sigh).

1. I transferred a track from SonicStage to a NetMD disk

2. I transferred a track from a CD using Simple Burner to the same disk.

Both went fine.

I had a small issue with SB that it crashed whilst trying to read the CD. I think this is some sort of error with CDDB, and is nothing to do with the JB980 at all. The problem was that particular disk had no CD entry in the database. So I put one in that was :known: and all was OK.

Good luck

Stephen
