Happy Hopping
What will be happening in the next 5 years? Will we have no Hi-MD to get anywhere?
alxwz
Disks or devices? As for devices, there are no more any new ones. As for disks, dunno. Just was about to post something about those as well. P.S.: Forgot to add that you can still get some new RH1s in Japan at extraordinary prices. Happy Hopping
Who are the Hi-MD manufacturer besides sOny? Does Maxell or Panasonic make Hi-MD media? I know Maxell made the regular MD media
Azureal
I am almost certain that Sony never licensed the Hi-MD technology to any other manufacturers for media. I do believe Onkyo has made a couple of Hi-MD decks.
Happy Hopping
Please disregard the above. I've seen ebay (in HK) going for $13.99/ disc, so I'm concern about that price. But I just found a source that sells me that for $7.5 per disc and just ordered 10. And apparently, there are plenty of where that come from
Transistor
I'm selling off my Hi-MDs for $5 each. Used once. See the Classifieds.
Happy Hopping
Some1 ask me where is my source, so I fig. I might as well post public to benefit every1. I first saw ebay has a guy going for $75 including shipping for QTY 5. So I email this ebay guy and ask if the disc is made in Japan. Then I saw some store in Japan going for $60 (incl. shipping), so I email the guy at ebay, his ID is HKAsiaMall, and said "thanks for the reply, but your price is high, I found some place in Japan going for $60". Surprisingly, a day later, the ebay guy HKAsiamall lowers his price to $64.99 (for QTY 5 incl. shipping). But by then, I already ordered from Japan. Then the japan guy email me and ask for more $ for shipping, so now I ended up paying $65 from Japan. As such, there is no benefit ordering from Japan, just that guy in ebay will do.
