The BCR-NWU3 dock comes with a power supply or

want something more portable can also use the AC-NWUM50 charger

Think you also can use the old AC-U50A, often cheap if you can find one but only 500mA

and don't come with any cable, you use the one you got with the player.

Oh and you can find em all on Amazon UK, last one under "Sony AC to USB 5V power Adaptor"

The adaptor that comes supplied with the old NW-A3000/A1000/A1200 will work fine with your A818 :)

Yes ,Even I use the adapter that came with my A1000 to charge my A806 :)

Also the one that comes with the MZ-RH1 minidisc player. They seem to charge much faster than via the PC too.

my dad bought me this 15 dollar usb-> charger and ti works just fine. its 5.0V and 400 mA. you guys recommended 500 mA would this damage my mp3 in the long run?

I don't think so .

The output of my AC-S508U is 800 mA .
