kalpauly
i know its a long shot, but i actually started into md because i liked the idea i coudl get one full concert onto one small, unscratchable minidisc. and since most of the concerts were shitty mp3 quality anyway, i didn't lose much sound quality either. just seeing if anyone else has had this experience. kyle

Mystyler
I got MD because it is the perfect replacement for both tape an CD. Plus, they are a hell of a lot better than anything MP3 - exception iPod. But it don't record, and it is HDD based. Removable media all the way. Bazirker
MD is probably the greatest live recording format ever created in the history of ALL MANKIND!!!! heh heh Mystyler, iPod does indeed rock, I would have to go with you on that one. Have you seen the new Odyssey (or whatever it's called)? It's like an iPod but I think it also has a built in mic and stuff. If I wasn't into MD's (cause they're just so much more fun for me) than I'd be saving up for an Odyssey or an iPod.
Mystyler
I've seen that Odyssey thing - nice but MD is much better. No HDD to crash! I recorded a thunderstorm two weeks ago with a very cheap (freebie, actually) mic, and the results were superb. 8)
