ThomasKoller
Hi I have a Sony MDS JE510 and a Terratec Aureon 5.1 USB. I have connected my MD with the PC by optical cable. Now I can record from MD to pc digital. Sends the MDS JE510 the Track-Info by optical too? Exists any software (windows xp) to record mp3 automatic splitting the tracks and track-info into the mp3? Thanks, Thomas
jadeclaw
Do I assume rightly from your name, that you are from Germany? If so, then try this one: http://www.heise.de/ct/cd-register/default...html?s=uncdcopy The resulting files are in standard wave format or OGG, for mp3 add the lame encoder dll found here: http://mitiok.free.fr/ This software can automatically split the resulting file according to the original CD or according to silent parts on the recording or you split it manually in a wave edit window. The title information is not transferred from the MD as that data is not transmitted via digital out.
ThomasKoller
from Switzerland... Thanks, I will try the software. I'm wondering, no possibility to get the track-info? All that big work entered with the remote control...
highlandsun
S/PDIF can transfer the title info, but Sony never made any hardware that does this. Yet another stupidity on their part.

I'm desperate to find an application that can honor the track marks just like my MD recorder did when receiving content via optical digital -- it wasn't based on silence, but rather digital track marks communicated over S/PDIF.
