  1. Late to the thread, but wouldn't something like this work? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bluetooth-Transmitter-Ultra-thin-Mpow-Traceless/dp/B07G388C5Z/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2Y5T1K8PT2PCW&keywords=3.5mm+bluetooth+transmitter&qid=1571614477&sprefix=3.5mm+blutooth+%2Caps%2C197&sr=8-3 Plug it in to the headphone jack of your MD player, and pair it with your headphones. If you have Sennheiser headphones, you're probably looking for a high end Bluetooth transmitter. The one I linked to was just the top one in the search list.
  2. Thanks very much. Whilst I'm quite adventurous with this sort of stuff, as you suggested, it's not worth the trouble trying to fix it for one pre-recorded minidisc. I've already made a playlist in a streaming music service with the minidisc's tracks that I like, and I'll try to burn it from my PC to a Minidisc recorder via optical. Thanks again.
  3. I have an MZ-E900 player. I recently bought my first pre-recorded minidisc and the MZ-E900 is having trouble playing it. It can play the tracks, but sometimes pauses while it reads more data. On recordable discs (SP (ATRAC1) and LP) it reads data to the buffer then spins down, spinning back up to read more data later, as it should. On this disc it sounds like it's constantly searching for the sectors of data. I've gently cleaned the lens with 99.7% isopropyl alcohol and allowed it to dry. Recorded discs play fine, and the pre-recorded disc plays fine in my other players. As I understand it, pre-recorded discs were pressed, not burned. Does anyone more experienced than I know what might be causing this? Is it a common problem? Is there a solution please? Thanks.
  4. Thanks, but I want to do the erasing when I'm out and about traveling light; I can use Sonicstage to erase them if I'm at home. In particular, I'm looking for a way to set the TrPROTECT flag to allow erasing when I burn the disc, or just after burning the disc with Sonicstage, so I can erase anything when I'm out-and-about with my MDLP player and travelling light. Extensive searching (here and Google) draws a blank. Thanks.
  5. I use Windows Media Player, insert the CD and get the track data. Rip the CD in .wav format (uncompressed, with no copy protection) to my a folder on the PC, then I import it to Sonicstage 4.3. In my very limited experience, it brings the track data with it, and it seems that I get unlimited check-outs.
  6. Is there a way to overcome the TrPROTECT error blocking me from erasing tracks on my portable players? I read here that some older players can ignore the protect flag, but I prefer to use newer players (MDLP). I'm using SonicStage v4.3 (link below) on Window 7. I was wondering if there's some sort of setting or easy hack to flip the Protect bit when creating/burning the disc, or some other workaround. Thanks in advance. on Windows 7
  7. Thank you so much for this. I'm quite new to Minidiscs. I used an old Windows XP laptop to install the SonicStage v1.5, but Gracenote is no longer supported so there's no way to automatically download CD info for the track data. With this version and my Windows 7 PC I can now transfer music to my players. With a workaround I found, I can also automatically get the track data and avoid the check in/out limits. Would the OP and the moderators have any objection to me (eventually) doing a YouTube video explaining how to get this working on Windows 7 and linking to this page? Thanks again.
