  1. Awesome, but it is expensive. Will this be available in the US, and will it be cheaper than $27?

    Send feedback to Sony?

Here are my suggestions for the NW-E40x/50x series: -rearrange the main display, move the track counter to the last line (where the time and battery indicators are) and make the second line (displays the artist) scroll. -I want a five band equalizer, but I don't know if it is even possible with the processing power on the player, volume normalization would be nice too. AVLS is rather useless. -More accessories! Arm bands, lanyard type things etc. -quicker fast forward, its just too slow even after twisting the thing for 10 seconds. -have the screensaver kick in after a certain amount of time, just like the power save feature. -ok this one is a bit hard to describe but I'll do my best. There is a bit of light "leakage" on the right edge of the OLED panel, it seems the light is being reflected within the piece of glass and escapes through the edges. I'd like it if the edges are masked off, covering all but the viewable area of the screen. Just aesthetics. -have the amount of time remaining on the song displayed, somewhere, anywhere. - The earbuds included with the player sound good (at least to me) but they are very, very uncomfortable. So much so that I had to remove the plastic surrounding the earpieces, now they feel okay, but just look halfassed because you can see bare metal around the edges. In short, just make em perfectly round, and maybe include some foam covers. Thats about all that I can think of at the moment.
  3. I didn't have Sonic Stage installed when I tried to upgrade since I was using MP3 file manager. The updater gave me a "system information cannot be found" error box when installing. Had to install SS to get it to work. Just a heads up to anyone having the same problem as me.

    Lanyards

I'm just keeping it in my pocket for now, maybe I can get some lanyard lace and use that. The stuff isn't terribly expensive, and come in a nice variety of colors
  5. Thanks for the great post, the Sennheiser mx400 seems to be what I'm looking for.
  6. Sony should've really included a lanyard though. I have the 507, and it even has a hole for it to go through. Why must you torment us so Sony? And the clip is really horrible. I could've designed something better. You'd think a large corporation like Sony could do better with something as simple as a clip. The included baggie is cool though. You could wipe fingerprints and other nasty stuff off the player's screen There are only two complaints I have with the player. First is the slow transfer speeds, I don't think it is USB 2.0. Sony its 2005, great you finally figured out that consumers want to have a player that is able to natively play back mp3, now give us a faster way to connect the device. The other complaint is that with one handed operation of the device the screen is sideways. Though the player looks great because the engineers designed it the way they did, it doesn't have the ease of operation that the Apple ipods have.
