    Sonicstage 4.2

It is me again!! I have now been able to transfer stuff from my HD to my Net MD 505, but not without some glitches. When I imported some files from PC to my library, they managed to get out of order and for instance, one chapter of a book was stuck in the middle of the chapters of another book I had imported. I like to keep stuff in order on both sides of the transfer windows. I seem to recall under the old system you could move tracks up and down on the library side and on the Device conversion/transfer side. I have tried to find out how to do this by googling, looking at posts, but can find no answer to my question. So, can I move tracks around in Sonicstage 4.2 TIA
  2. I cannot recall that a screen asked me , but I guess it must have. What bitrate do you recommend for audio books ( which I will only listen to once) and for music which is generally esay listening and classical when I am travelling.
  3. I am back to say thank you all for your patience and help. First of all the book was on my PC having been downloaded as MP3 files. Sonicstage 4.2 finally installed sucessfully and this morning I transferred the files to my minidisc player. It took 4 minidiscs to take the book. Each of the eight files was around 26.5 mb long, a total of 212mb. I recall reading in tips and tricks that a book should fit on 2 minidiscs....it must depend on the length of the book. I find Soinicstage easy to use, although I have not gone into the finer pointsa and I just kept all the values to default. Should a book of this length have taken up 4 discs, or is there something else I am doing wrong?
  4. I am still installing Sonicstage 4.2 and it is taking forever. The overall progress is 13% in about 2 hours. I do hope this is normal. I will try audacity when I am finished here. I am scared that I may end up in a right mess with the length of time this new Sonicstage programme is taking to install. It seems odd that it is taking so long to install. Any clues?
  5. Sorry, I do not know what SS means. Thanks for replying. I will look at Simple Burner. When you say copy the book...do you just mean copy and then paste into the right hand section of the Check out area? Sorry to be such a dummy!
  6. I have an audio book which I wish to transfer form my HD to my Minidisc (NetMD MZ-505) I keep getting this message: "OMG only support raw audio of 2 channel, 44.1Khz and 16bit." when I try to select LP2 or 4. I have had a look at the properties of each of the chapters of the book and they are 48kbps. I am not at all techie and I just do not know what to do to enable me to transfer the tracks to the Minidisc. Can some kind person help please?
