as i am new to this forum, when you say its all in the fprum on both accounts, what do you mean, I ave tried plugging in a jack lead into the line out of minidisk and into the line in on laptop and it comes up with a dialog box and i click on line iin but thats all that happens.

I have a normal sony MDLP player and have lots of minidisc's and want to copy them all to my PC, is this possible and what will i need. On my MD player i have a jack lead out and thats it.
