I've got this problem as well. I just opened a brand new RH1 which I'm using on a Mac G5 with Hi-MD Music Transfer 2.0. Apple System Profiler recognizes the RH1 I have a disc in the recorder, which plays fine (it's been recorded onto) The display of the RH1 shows that it's connected to the computer When I launch HMT it says "device/media not connected" I've tried using different USB ports, plugging and replugging, restarting the compuer, the RH1, etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated. eta: battery level appears to be full eta2: I found this related thread, but no answer. I am trying to connect with older standard MD discs--would that keep the RH1 from mounting/showing up with Hi-MD Music Transfer? eta3: OK, it works fine with the Hi-MD disc. I read the FAQs, but maybe I'm an idiot--I thought the RH1 would allow me to upload tracks from older Minidisc recordings--did I get that wrong? I've got a bunch of stuff on standard MDs I was hoping to transfer via USB. eta4: It's official--I am an idiot.
